How do I know how much is in my tank?
You can check the gauge located near the top of your propane tank, which shows the level as a percentage. For more detailed guidance, watch the instructional video:
I just got a refill, but my tank is not 100% full. Why not?
In order to accommodate for propane’s tendency to expand as the temperature warms, propane tanks are generally filled only to 80%–85% capacity. (This is standard/best practice in the propane industry.)
What are my options for propane delivery?
- Automatic on Route Delivery: Under this delivery option we will make periodic deliveries to you on either a fixed cycle basis or based upon several forecasting factors, including temperature conditions and your specific usage patterns. To ensure accurate forecasting, we request that you update us with any changes in your usage or appliances. Tanks must be 500 gallons or larger to be on this option. The Automatic Route Delivery runs from September 1st through May 31st. You are responsible for watching your tank through the summer months
- Will Call:
Under this delivery option, you must request a propane delivery.
We recommend you order a delivery when your tank is at approximately 30% to ensure a timely delivery. Most Will Call deliveries will be made within 5-7 business days after your request.
Additional Details about Will Call delivery:
- We will assess a Will Call Convenience Fee per delivery.
- Weather and other factors may affect delivery times.
- Expedited delivery requests may be charged a Special Trip fee.
Can I prepay for propane?
Yes, at OOP Inc., we can offer you two different prepay options:
- Fixed Price Contract:
100% Prepaid (Full payment due at time of contract signing.)
* Number of gallons x current contract pricing plus tax= full amount due
- Budget Program Contract: The budget plan is an average usage figure based on your previous year’s gallons of propane purchased, multiplied by the current budget pricing plus tax divided by 10 months. The budget payment would start at time of contracting and run for 10 months ending with final monthly payment on the 15th of the month or on May 15th of the year.
- *All payments must be made by the 15th of each month with the final balance of the account reconciled in full by May 15th.
